Super Falcons of Nigeria on Sunday defeated Mali 6-0 in their first group game at the on-going CAF African Women Cup of Nation in Cameroon – a good start in their quest of retaining the African women title.
One goal each from F. Ordega 21’ and Uchechi Sunday 47’, and four from A. Oshoala 40’, 63’, 68’, 77’, gave the Nigerian side a win in their opening match of the tournament.
The group’s other game will be played later on Sunday between Ghana and Kenya at the Stade Municipal de Limbe. And the result will determine who tops the group, as Super Falcons will be getting ready to play their Ghanian counterparts in their second game on November 23.
