#ElClassico :Sergio Ramos breaks Camp Nou hearts as Real Madrid plays 1-1 with Barcelona (photos/match analysis)

Barcelona were just seconds away from recording a massive win against rivals Real Madrid in the El Classico on Saturday evening, when Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos leaped and scored at the last minute of normal time to keep up Madrid's title ambitions with a 1-1draw against Barcelona at the Camp Nou.

Barca, not having the best of times in the la liga this season, scored just after the halftime break after Luis Suarez headed in a Neymar cross, but left their home supporters disappointed as Ramos rose above everyone to nod in the ball at the 90th minute after a Luka Modric free kick.
It was all joy for Zinedine Zidane's men including Cristiano Ronaldo who was frustrated through out the night as he missed so many chances.

"We know we will all die someday. Our problem is the manner in which he was shot and refusal of his killers to do the right thing. We demand that justice should be done. That is the only thing that will console us," she said. Father of the deceased, Reuben Izu, decried the manner in which his son was killed by the military officers "The atm card the young man offered to them to spare his life is still with them. We have not been able to access his account" he lamented

Pres Buhari releases N522bn to state governors for payment of salaries and pension

President Buhari has approved the release of N522 billion to all 36 state governors for the payment of salaries as well as pension. Read the press statement shared on his social media page below...

I have approved the disbursement of N522 billion to the State Governments, to enable them pay salary and pension arrears, and put money in the economy. We have stipulated that at least 50% of the funds should be dedicated to salaries and pensions, and we will audit disbursements to ensure compliance.
The Ministry of Finance is currently processing the first batch of N153 billion, which, I am told, will be released to 14 States. The Ministry will provide more details on how the funds will be disbursed and how we will monitor the utilization to ensure that Nigerians receive the full benefits from their State Governors. As I said in my Independence Day Speech, I firmly believe that this recession will not last. We should not allow our temporary problems to blind us from the corrective course this administration is charting for Nigeria. We know what our challenges are and we are working very hard to provide solutions that will last.
