Super Eagles of Nigeria beat the Desert Warrior of Algeria

Eagles’ technical adviser, Gernot Rohr showed his attacking intent for the game as he started with a frontline that included in-form players like Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi, and Kelechi Iheanacho.
Algeria looked a bit shaky as Nigeria controlled proceedings in the early stages, with in-form
Chelsea winger, Moses troubling the Algerian defence with his pace and trickery.
The Algerians were largely reduced to limited time on the ball in the midfield area and kept away from Daniel Akpeyi who replaced the injured Eagles’ number one goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme . The goalkeeper was finally called into action when he pushed away a Yacine Brahimi shot in the 23rd minute.
Nigeria’s dominance over the Warriors finally paid off in the 24th minute when Moses latched onto a John Mikel Obi pass and ran at the Algerian defence; he misplaced a pass into the path of Algerian defender Hicham Belkaroui before stealing it back and slotting it coolly past Raïs M'Bolhi to give the Eagles a much deserved lead.
The star was booked for taking off his shirt in jubilation.
The Eagles kept their dominance as shortly after their lead, M'bohli had to come out to punch a Moses cross after the winger had been fouled. Iheanacho almost nodded in another Moses cross in the 29th minute after the Chelsea star played in the Manchester City striker.
Akpeyi had to run out of his box to snuff out the threat of a through ball heading towards his goal and Brahimi picked up the loose ball in his half, did well to skip past a couple of Nigerian defenders and pass to Nabil Bentaleb who wastefully flicked the ball over the net in what was Algeria’s best chance of the game.
Only minutes later, Riyad Mahrez missed another great opportunity for the Algerians.
After a defensive mix up in the Nigerian defence, the ball fell to the Leicester star on the edge of the Nigerian goal and he fired low, inches away from the post in what was a disappointing effort from the midfielder.
The Algerians kept on their momentum and Islam Slimani ran onto another through pass in the Nigerian box, but he was closely followed by the goalkeeper and fired away waywardly.
Shortly after, in the 40th minute, Nigeria got a second goal that deflated the Algerian team.
After some nice passing of the ball near the Algerian box, Nigerian captain, Mikel Obi found himself on the end of an Etebo pass and one-on-one with the goalkeeper after he had been clearly kept onside by Aissa Mandi; after a little hesitation, he fired past the Algerian goalkeeper amid a wave of protests from the Algerian players.
The Algerians had another good go at the Nigerian defence as they started a move that ended with a Mahrez shot being deflected over for a corner which was the last action of the first half with the Eagles in a commanding 2-0 lead.
The second half started with a more motivated Algerian team that relentlessly attacked the Nigerian defence going close twice in the 50th and 52nd minute.
Georges Leekens' side came close to getting a goal back as Slimani shot well wide of the post after a couple of Algerian players mishit the ball in the box.
Another shot came whizzing past the bar in the 58th minute much to the frustration of the Nigerian goalkeeper.
The Algerian finally got a breakthrough in the 67th minute as Bentalab collected a pass close to the Nigerian box, and with little pressure from the Nigerian defence, fired in a left footed strike that left Akpeyi helpless.
The Algerians had a penalty shout waved away in the 72 minute, and the referee only awarded a corner kick.
They played with more confidence and kept their assault on the Nigerian defence, coming close again with another angled shot.
They were awarded a dangerous freekick in the 80 minute after fine defensive play from William Troost-Ekong halted a promising Algerian attack.
The resulting freekick took a deflection off the Nigerian wall and looked dangerously close to going in.
Nigeria finally came to life in the dying minutes of the game, as substitute, Ahmed Musa broke down the left from a Moses pass and squared the ball to Iwobi at the far post but the ball was cleared away before the Leicester record signing was adjudged to have been offside.
He came back minutes later and shot wide into the sidenetting after Moses tussled for the ball with the Warriors’ defence.
Motivated by the loud home support, Nigeria started to gain a measure of dominance as Man of the Match, Moses threaded in another good ball that was missed by the onrushing Iheanacho.
The Manchester City striker shot wide minutes later after a good cross from the right from Musa.
Moses finally had the last say in the matter after he scored his second goal of the evening in added minutes to effectively end the contest.
The victory means the Eagles now top their World Cup qualification group with six points, four points ahead of second-placed Cameroon who played a 1-1 draw against Zambia who have just 1 point, the same with Algeria.

Governor El-Rufai donates N100million to rebuild damaged churches, mosques in Southern Kaduna

Kaduna State government on Saturday donated 100 million naira to support the rebuilding of churches and mosques destroyed during ethno-religious crisis in the Southern Kaduna communities.
Announcing the donation during the historic unveiling of public apology billboards in Jama’a, Kachia, Kaura, Sanga and Zangon Kataf for the return of permanent peace in the area, governor Nasir El-Rufai said his government had drafted a bill to set up the Kaduna State Peace Commission in fulfillment of the promises he made in 2015.
The governor added that the Commission would enable inclusion of all citizens on plans for peaceful co-existence of the people in the state.
El-Rufai, in his speech entitled ‘apology, forgiveness, key to peace’, said: “In recognition of the vital importance of showing concrete manifestations of peace, the government has decided to support civic efforts to rebuild damaged churches, mosques and othrr structures destroyed with a seed fund of
N100m.
“The challenge of achieving peace and justice is a complex process that requires imagination, wide consultations, technical support, research and time. I have promised you change. I will not be derailed
from the legacy of peace that Southern Kaduna deserves from my generation.”
The governor stressed: “This state belongs to everyone that has chosen to make it a home. Let us respect each other, abide by the law, do our duty to uphold harmony and firmly reject division and violence.
“Today we are here to launch a Public Apology Billboard, as we grief over the lives sadly taken in the recent violence in the Godogodo chiefdom. Why, our children ask, are we able to discuss peace for
decades but not find it on the ground?
“Now, 29 ethnic communities of Southern Kaduna present a Public Apology billboard to us. These people represented their communities at the dialogues that resulted in the Kafanchan Peace Declaration.
“They were sent to represent their communities by their leaders. Wide consultations within their communities was carried out in selecting
them. Their input and contribution to peace in Southern Kaduna has been crucial. Allow me to opine that leaders are not born and neither
are they made.
“They are summoned by circumstances and whoever steps forth and provides a solution becomes a leader. These men and women who have
given us the public apology billboard saw one of our problems as the lack of peace.
“They have stepped forward and began providing
solutions. They have decided to own their peace as communities. These people are leaders.
“These group of resilient leaders drawn from different religions and ideologies have now been joined by many more, ordinary citizens, who
are now going around Southern Kaduna, seeking the buy in of traditional elders, community and religious leaders, women, youth and he civil society to never again indulge in violence.
“They want to set up billboards across the five LGA’s of Sanga, Kachia, Kaura, Jema’a and Zangon Kataf, at roundabouts, Schools and places of worship.
“Their message is that no ethnic group, ideology, religion or political party holds all the answers.”

Ex Mis Anambra Beauty Queen opens up on sex scandal

Since the story of the sex video involving former Miss Anambra, Chidinma Okeke, broke a few weeks ago, several groups and individuals have come forward with different versions of what transpired between the embattled 20-year-old beauty queen and the organisers of the pageant.
The former beauty queen was seen in a shocking x-rated video with a lesbian partner. Surprisingly, the video was released on October 11, 2016, a few days before the expiration of her tenure originally billed for October 28, 2016.
Every day across the state since the video hit the streets, different versions of what led to the scandal are churned out by the actors, leaving the people confused and unsure of what to believe.
Since the scandal broke, Miss Chidinma Okeke, who won the Miss Anambra beauty pageant, organised by the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), has remained incommunicado, choosing to go into hiding over alleged threats to her life. She has also remained silent, leaving her lawyer to do most of the talking.
While the father, Sir Jeremiah Okeke, had claimed in recent reports that his daughter had been handed over to a relation for safety, some others claimed that the ex-beauty queen had relocated abroad.
But after weeks of keeping quiet, Miss Okeke has finally broken her silence. In an exclusive interview with The Nation, she debunked claims that she threatened to commit suicide, adding that there was never a time such thought came to her mind.
She also said her life might no longer be in danger, adding that her traducers were no longer threatening her life, and maintaining that those who were after her life had stopped contacting her.
She also said the faces behind her agonizing period in Anambra would be revealed soon, adding that with God, all things are possible.
Narrating her own side of the story, she said: “Early last year, the ABS advertised for the Miss Anambra beauty pageant. I heard of it and went to make enquiry.
“My roommate was also interested, but one of the organisers told me to apply. I told them I was not interested but the man insisted that I might win the competition. He also promised to give me the form for free if I indicated interest, and he did when I agreed to contest.
“But one Jane told me that before a winner would be declared, there were certain things to be done, including the (sex) video. I consented after some persuasion from the organisers. I later went for the contest at the Marble Arch Hotels in Awka, and I was declared winner with a Kia Rio vehicle as star prize.
“When I went for my car after the contest, the organisers brought out a contract form for me to sign, but I told them I wanted to contact my lawyer to see it. I was not given the opportunity to do so.
“What they kept telling me was that if I insisted on not signing the contract or wanted to contact my lawyer, they would release the video.
“At that point, I became uncomfortable and signed the contract to avoid such embarrassment, and the car was released to me from where it was packed within the premises of ABS.
“From that moment, I became a slave to them. On October 11, 2016, they called me to come and make presentations inside the office of one the organisers. After that, the man excused some people in that room and showed me the video again.
“They told me to drop my car and removed my crown from me. I told them I would take the car as stipulated in the contract. They insisted I should pack it in the premises of (ABS).
“I told my uncle in Abuja about the situation. My uncle called them and asked them to release my car to me. Instead, they forwarded the video to him as part of the blackmail. That was what happened,” Chidinma said, crying.
She also said the scandal had weighed her down. Amidst sobs, she denied being a lesbian, saying she had never been involved in the act.
For her parents, Sir Jeremiah and his wife, Lady Nora Okeke, the incident remains a shock. According to Sir Okeke, the management and organisers of the pageant capitalised on his daughter’s “age and naivety to deny her whatever monetary gains she made while serving as Miss Anambra.”
He added: “How can a beauty queen borrow money to pay her driver, even when she is supposed to be receiving a monthly salary?
I cannot say all that I heard or saw. Why was she not paid her winning prize of one million naira fully? Rather, they paid her on installmental basis. And up until today, the money has not been completely paid.
“They have rubbished her and rubbed the family’s name in the mud. But we have united as a family, praying seriously for my daughter and for the people behind this wicked act to be exposed.
“My family at first agreed not to tell me about the whole thing, because I am hypertensive. But they decided otherwise when things got out of hand. I told them this issue will not kill me because I have had worse experiences while in business years back.
“My God, as always, will answer me and expose the truth in no distant time. I won’t say much because the damage has already been done.
“Chidinma is a small girl who does not know anything, hence, she fell into a trap that was too heavy for her to shoulder. But I thank God she is recovering.”
All through the interview, Chidinma’s mother, who was advised by the husband to remain silent, continued to hiss, and motioning her hands towards the heavens in supplication to God.
Two of the chiefs in Ogboji community in Orumba South Local Government Area, where Chidinma hails from, Chief Obi Okoli (Idejimba) and Chief Julius Nwankwo (Nwabulu-Omee), told The Nation that the incident had left them in shock.
Okoli, who described Chidinma as a nice and well-trained girl from a Christian home, saw the entire thing as a set up, but argued that such issues would only happen if somebody presents oneself.
According to him, “she is a well brought up girl from a good family background and Christian home. There could be more to this than meets the eyes.”
Asked if the community was not going to say anything on the sex scandal involving their daughter, Okoli laughed and said: “There are ways of handling such issues, and I don’t think the community will be involved.”
Also speaking, Chief Julius Nwankwo, described the situation as a pity, adding that today’s children behave as they like.
However, he said that the people of Ogboji community were seeing it as blackmail, adding that none of them was happy with what happened to their daughter.
He said: “As an Ogboji man, I am pained that such a thing happened to one of our own, and that is why we want the authorities concerned to look into the saga appropriately, with a view to arresting those involved.
“When our daughter won the award, we were happy. For anybody or group of persons to rubbish her and our community is what we will not condone.”
Nwankwo said they heard some people had been apprehended over the sex scandal, adding that the authorities should look well in making sure that wrong people were not punished.
The Managing Director of ABS, the organisers, Uche Nworah did not comment on the queen’s allegations when we contacted him. He instead referred us to the organisation’s earlier statement.
In the earlier statement, the organisers had dissociated themselves from the scandal. Part of the statement read: “The attention of the management of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, organisers of the Miss Anambra Beauty Pageant, has been drawn to a video with lurid contents purportedly showing former Miss Anambra, Miss Chidinma Okeke (Miss Anambra 2015).
“The said Miss Chidinma Okeke, who is allegedly linked to the lurid content in circulation, has served out her term as Miss Anambra 2015 and handed over the crown in line with the terms and conditions of The Miss Anambra pageant.
“We condemn in clear terms any amoral behaviour/conduct as suggested by the alleged lurid content in circulation and do not condone such.
“It is on record that The Miss Anambra Beauty Pageant has been a platform to empower Anambra women and celebrate our rich culture and heritage. Winners of the pageant are bound to contracts to be of good conduct and moral behaviour and to uphold/maintain the honour in their position as queen.
“Winners of the pageant also contract to refrain from any personal relationship that could appear to hinder their ability to perform the duties of their office as queen and role model, and we do not expect any less.
“We, therefore, wish to dissociate The Miss Anambra pageant from any discussions on the said allegations.
“We feel sufficiently perturbed by the mere reference already made to the pageant and hereby state that we are in no way connected to the controversy.
“We apologise to the government and good people of Anambra State, our sponsors, supporters, friends and all those associated with the Miss Anambra project for the embarrassment the mere reference to the pageant in the controversy may have caused while reassuring of the good intentions of the Miss Anambra pageant franchise.

Arsenal hit back at Gnabry dig.

Werder Bremen have had a dig at Arsenal after Serge Gnabry's hat-trick on his international debut for Germany - but the Gunners have hit back.
Gnabry failed to make the grade at the Emirates, and boss Arsene Wenger let him join the Bungesliga club in the summer after 18 appearances and just one solitary goal.
But he has been in good form for Bremen - with four goals so far this season - and he became the first Germany international to score a hat-trick on his debut since Dieter Muller in 1976 in Friday night's 8-0 hammering of San Marino in their World Cup qualifier.

Gustavo Poyet sacked by Real Betis after Four months in charge

Real Betis have sacked Gustavo Poyet after less than four months in charge and replaced him with former Deportivo La Coruna coach Victor Sanchez del Amo.
Betis have taken just 11 points from 11 games under the former Chelsea and Tottenham star and are 14th in La Liga, two points above the relegation zone.
“Real Betis have decided to bring Gustavo Poyet’s tenure in charge of the first team to an end,” said a club statement.
“The club would like to show its special gratitude for the dedication and effort of the Uruguayan coach and his coaching staff during this time and wish him them the best in the future.”
A former midfielder for Real Madrid and Deportivo amongst other clubs, Sanchez del Amo worked as an assistant coach at Getafe, Sevilla and Olympiakos Piraeus before taking charge of Deportivo in 2015, helping them avoid relegation.
He was sacked at the end of his second season after a poor second half to the campaign as the team finished 15th in the standings.
The Spaniard was appointed as Olympiakos coach in June, only to be dismissed in August after being eliminated from the Champions League third qualifying round by Israeli side Hapoel Beer-Sheva.
“I come to Real Betis with tremendous hope and all the motivation in the world to excite one of the biggest fan bases in the country,” Sanchez del Amo said.
“The union between the team and Betis supporters is unbreakable, as Betis have proved throughout their history.”
Poyet was appointed in the summer and in his first game Betis were hammered 6-2 by Barcelona.
His fortunes improved as Betis took eight points from their next five games but a downward spiral began with a 1-0 defeat at Real Sociedad, the start of four defeats in five matches including a 6-1 thrashing at home by Real Madrid. One Betis fans’ group had refused to attend matches until Poyet had been sacked.

EFCC arraign Bank staff, and one other for $1m fraud.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, November 11 , 2016 arraigned the duo of Sada Adamu and Babatunde Faro, an employee of Diamond Bank Plc before Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja on a 4-count charge of money laundering, false declaration of assets and fraud to the tune of $1million.
Adamu was alleged to have made cash payment of the said sum being an amount exceeding the stipulated N5million threshold payable cash by an individual according to law, to Faro. The offence is a breach of Section 1(a) of the Money Laundering Act, 2011 as amended and punishable under Section 15(2)(b) of the same Act. The accused persons pleaded not guilty when the charges were read to them.

In view of their plea, counsel to EFCC, S. A. Ugwuebulam, asked the court for a date to commence trial. However, W. Y. Maman and W. T. Iorshe representing Adamu and Faro respectively prayed the court to grant the accused persons bail pending trial. Opposing the motion, Ugwuebulam stated that:
"The offences border on money laundering and other financial transactions without licenses. I urge the court to discountenance the motion for bail and order speedy trial of the case".
Justice Dimgba, thereafter, adjourned to November 14, 2016 for ruling on the bail application and ordered the accused persons to be remanded in Kuje prison.

The Good, Bad, Ugly inside AFRIMA 2016.

This is the biggest musical event that would continue to reverberate in the nation’s music scene for a long time to come,”,echoed one of the attendees, Bakare Michael, and he was not wrong. This year’s edition of the prestigious of All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA, would go down in history as one of the biggest things that ever happened to the nation’s vibrant music scene. The awards night was not only meant for the celebration of the music stars, but also the showcasing of the cultural heritage of the black race to the rest of the world.

AFRIMA Red Carpet
From the red carpet session to the Convention hall of Eko hotel and Suites, Lagos, venue of the awards night, it was a sheer display of glamour, fashion, style and the rich culture of the continent. Indeed, top music stars from across Africa thronged the event venues in their tens of thousands, some bagged awards while those who didn’t were there to show support to their colleagues and also express their love for African music. We bring to you blow by blow account of what happened at this memorable night:
KSA gets chummy with security operatives King Sunny Ade (KSA) who was one of the music legends honoured for their hard work in putting African music on the global charts had a terrible experience at the event. The juju music exponent’s attempt to shun walking the red carpet got him face to face with his fans, including security operatives who accosted and made him to exchange pleasantries with them. As he walked on the periphery of the red carpet trying to get backstage, a lot of people were shouting “KSA, the great king”and jostling for his attention.
There were also some security operatives, made up of soldiers and police officers, who were stationed at that point to keep troublemakers at bay. The security guys also joined in hailing KSA, and just like a magnet meeting steel, the King of music paused, turned and went to the officers. He made sure he exchanged handshakes with all of them before he resumed sharing platitudes with the remaining ‘civilian’ fans.
‘I respect security operatives very much. They do a lot to keep us safe. Thank you,” KSA said, subtly explaining his reason for being preferential towards the uniformed men.
Meanwhile, the multiple Grammy Awards nominee also won the Special Recognition Award. Immediately his name was mentioned, the audience erupted in shouts and claps, confirming his popularity among the crowd.
Brymo pays homage to KSA in songs
Another memorable moment at the event was when former Chocolate City’s artiste, Brymo, mounted the stage and gave a wonderful rendition of King Sunny Ade’s songs after the legend was given a Special Recognition Award. KSA who was decorated with the Nigerian flag while on stage could not hold back, as he made some powerful dance steps to the admiration of the audience. He commended the efforts of AFRIMA for recognizing him and for creating an international platform for Africans to showcase their works through music.

Papa Wemba’s wife goes dumb on stage!

While the ovation was loud, Maria Rosa, wife of the late Congolese rumba star, Papa Wemba, and her daughter who attended the event, shocked everyone. They climbed the stage to receive the award on behalf of the departed singer, but to the surprise of everyone, Wemba’s widow immediately went dumb on stage, following deep emotions of sadness and grief, leaving her daughter to do the talking. The daughter explained that her mother was overwhelmed by emotions and could not talk. She thanked Africa as a whole for supporting the family during and after the death of Papa Wemba.
The daughter later performed a rendition of one of her late father’s favourite songs. The music legend died after collapsing in a festival in Abidjan, Ivory Coast in April, this year.
Meanwhile, just as Brymo paid homage to KSA in songs, Tanzanian heartthrob, Nasib Abdul popularly known as Diamond Platinumz was given the opportunity to pay tribute to the Congolese music legend, Papa Wemba and he did not disappoint. He stepped on the stage dressed exactly the way Papa Wemba was dressed on the day he passed away while performing in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. It was an emotional performance that got touched every soul in the hall.

Manu Dibango gets first accolade as a music legend

Eighty two-year-old Cameroonian saxophonist and vibraphone player, Manu Dibango, who flew into the country from Paris, to pick his award was another moment that would not be forgotten in hurry by those that graced the event. Nicknamed ‘The Lion of Cameroon’, Dibango was glad that he was receiving his first award in history. He was recognized for developing a music style fusing jazz, funk and traditional Cameroonian music.

Wizkid missing in action

That Ayodele Balogun, aka Wizkid, has had an awesome year is stale and sour news. The young singer started 2016 hobnobbing with heavyweight international stars, and he is ending the year with multiple awards. It would be recalled that he picked up three trophys at the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) about two weeks ago, and last weekend, he also grabbed the Best African award at the MTV Europe Music Awards. This was in addition to the Artiste of the Year mantle he was handed at AFRIMA.
However, contrary to many people’s expectations, the superstar artiste did not turn up at the awards ceremony which held literally in his backyard.
Meanwhile, his manager, Sunday Are, was in the premises of the Eko Hotels and Suites where the event took place, and he never bothered to acknowledge the award. It is also interesting to note that Wizzy hasn’t said anything about his AFRIMA win on his social media pages. He has uploaded posts about MAMA, MTV Europe, MOBO and others on Instagram. But he is yet to say anything about AFRIMA.
Whatever the cause may be for his absence and silence, it is important for Wizkid to acknowledge the award as it is the practice internationally. Except he doesn’t want it!

Low moments at AFRIMA

Beyond the hype, glamour and attention that preceded AFRIMA 2016, one blemish that characterized the award ceremony was the unprecedented madness experienced on the red carpet. From the red carpet to the awards presentation, and performances, it was indisputably a gathering of stars that would not be forgotten in a hurry. Though the organizers aren’t new to the business, but the red carpet flaw clearly surpassed the positive sides of the occasion.

Zina Challe
Qglamorously adorned in their dapper styled apparels, but there was something different about this year’s AFRIMA red carpet, it wasn’t coordinated. The heat that pervaded the red carpet made some stars sweat profusely while awaiting their turns to be interviewed. In fact, some female stars had to call on their make-up artistes to redo their make up before and after they were done with their interviews. As beautiful and as elongated as the red carpet was, it still lacked the necessary coordination needed to harness the exquisiteness.

Obscenity and nakedness

Female celebrities are known for always wanting to be the cynosure of all eyes at any event they attend, and this was what informed the dress most female celebrities wore to this year’s AFRIMA. To the surprise of the onlookers, a lady whose identity was unfortunately unknown, stepped out in a very revealing outfit. In what many would describe as naked and obscene, she was dressed in a black-flowing lace dress without any sign of her wearing a pant or bra. But beyond the shortcoming, this year’s AFRIMA was a huge success and one hopes that the organizers would sustain the tempo next year.

DAfghanistan: Explosion hits US airbase in Bagra

Taliban claim responsibility for blast in facility which houses the largest contingent of US troops in the country.

An explosion has struck the largest US military base in Afghanistan, causing casualties, according to NATO and Afghan officials.
Abdul Shakoor Quddusi, the district governor of Bagram, told Reuters news agency that at least three people were killed and 13 injured in the blast, which he said occurred near a dining facility early on Saturday.
In a brief statement, the NATO-led Resolute Support mission said: "We can confirm that there was an explosion at Bagram Airfield this morning just after 5:30am (0100 GMT). There have been casualties. Our Force Protection and medical teams are responding to the situation."
The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack. They step up nationwide attacks before the onset of winter, when fighting usually ebbs.
Bagram Airfield, close to Kabul, has frequently come under attack by Taliban fighters.

The explosion underscores a worsening security situation nearly two years after NATO formally ended its combat operations in Afghanistan.
The US currently has around 10,000 troops in Afghanistan, with the largest contingent stationed at Bagram airfield.
Last December, a motorcycle-riding Taliban suicide bomber killed six US soldiers near Afghanistan's largest US military base.
It was one of the deadliest attacks on foreign troops in the country in 2015.
On Thursday, four people were killed and 128 others were wounded when a
suicide bomber drove a lorry loaded with explosives into the German consulate in the northern city of Mazar-e Sharif.
