And now the singer has officially confirmed that he has split from wife Shannon de Liam after just two years of marriage.

After much consideration, we have mutually and amicably decided to end our two year marriage," the couple told Us Weekly in a statement.

"We ask for privacy during this difficult process, and no further comments will be made from either one of us about this personal matter.”

The marriage is Marc’s fourth, after he was previously with pop sensation Jennifer for seven years.

And soon the stars found themselves at the centre of speculation that they were rekindling their romance.

The source claimed that Marc “wanted out [of his relationship with Shannon] as soon as he heard Jennifer split with Casper”.

But the I’m Real singer’s manager Benny Medina later rubbished the claims, telling TMZ that the pair were “absolutely, categorically, 100% not back together”.

Earlier this year in August Jennifer split from Casper Smart after he reportedly cheated on her.
